Vein Therapy
Cutera Excel V
This laser treatment safely and effectively treats both tiny red superficial face and body veins as well as the larger, deeper blue, reticular veins. Spider veins are dilated blood vessels on the skin's surface. They appear red or blue and may be connected in a web or branched pattern. Laser light is absorbed by the spider veins, causing the vessels to heat and in turn causing the blood in the vessels to collapse. We use a long-pulsed Nd:YAG laser that is an award-winner among leg veins. It provides continuous contact cooling to enhance your comfort. Two or three treatments, spaced 8 weeks apart, may be required for best results.
Sclerotherapy
Sclerotherapy is a medical procedure used to eliminate spider veins. It involves an injection of a solution directly into the vein. The solution irritates the lining of the blood vessel, causing it to collapse and stick together and the blood to clot. In most cases, the solution is injected through a very fine needle directly into the vein. At this point, you may experience mild discomfort and cramping for one-to-two minutes, especially when larger veins are injected.
Prior to sclerotherapy, you will have an initial consultation with a licensed expert who will decide if you're a good candidate for the procedure.
