Laser Genesis is a ground-breaking, non-invasive cosmetic procedure that utilizes the power of lasers to gently heat the skin and trigger the production of new skin cells and collagen. Laser Genesis At Work
Utilizing a near-infrared (NIR) Nd:YAG laser with a wavelength of 1064 nm or 532 KTP, Laser Genesis stimulates collagen regrowth by stimulating the elastin and collagen in the skin. Elastin is a highly elastic protein in the tissue below the skin's surface that aids the skin in resuming its shape after stretching or contracting like when we frown, smile, and laugh. Collagen is a protein that provides our skin with strength and firmness, and when both elastin and collagen start to break down, we begin to develop fine lines and wrinkles.
By addressing the breakdown of collagen and elastin over time, Laser Genesis ultimately minimizes the appearance of lines and wrinkles while targeting the tiny vessels and capillaries of the skin that are responsible for persistent skin redness experienced in conditions like rosacea.

At St Louis Skin Solutions, we use the Cutera Excel V as a non-invasive laser technology to treat fine lines, wrinkles, large pores, uneven skin texture, redness, and scarring safely, discreetly, and effectively. The treatment area will gently warm as the laser handpiece moves back and forth about 1/2 inch above your skin. There is little to no downtime after treatment; you can return to most normal activities as soon as your procedure is complete (just be sure to apply sunscreen generously!).

I've visited St Louis Skin Solutions a number of times for various services including laser for scars, visible facial capillaries, botox and fillers. Most of these were my first time receiving the treatment so needless to say, I was nervous. They always do an excellent job and the injections have left me with zero bruising! I will continue to come back, and all the way from the deep urban city limits. Worth it.
